A Keido Labs Product
EmpathyC
AI Psychological Safety Monitoring
Real-time evaluation of every AI conversation — per message — using clinical psychology frameworks. Not sentiment analysis. Not keyword matching. Clinical rubrics applied by an LLM that reasons about conversations the way a psychologist would.
Built by Keido Labs. Backed by research.
What It Does
EmpathyC monitors AI-powered conversations — companion bots, coaching apps, customer support — and evaluates them for psychological safety in real time.
Two parallel evaluation flows. Every message.
| Quality Metrics (0–10) | Safety Flags (event-driven) |
|---|---|
| Empathy — emotional attunement | Crisis — indirect / direct |
| Reliability — accurate expectations, follow-through | Boundary Violation — inappropriate dynamics |
| Consistency — coherent logic across conversation | Harmful Advice — could this hurt someone? |
Quality metrics power your dashboard — trends, comparisons, improvement over time.
Safety flags trigger alerts — immediate notification when something goes wrong.
How It's Different
| Typical AI Monitoring | EmpathyC |
|---|---|
| Sentiment: positive/negative | Psychological safety: could this harm someone? |
| Tone: polite/rude | Empathy: does the AI understand emotional cues? |
| Post-conversation scoring | Per-message, real-time evaluation |
| NLP keyword rules | Clinical psychology rubrics via LLM-as-a-judge |
| Full transcript access required | Zero-plaintext: user messages encrypted, never readable |
Privacy by Architecture
We monitor AI behaviour, not people. User messages are encrypted with a 4-part key architecture — no single person, including the founder, can read stored messages. Clients receive safety alerts, AI response analysis, and PII-stripped incident summaries. Never raw user content.
We built a safety system, not a surveillance tool.
Built on Research
EmpathyC is built by Keido Labs, an AI Psychology research lab. Every metric is backed by peer-reviewed research (2024–2026), validated against clinical psychologist baselines, and designed by a team with 15+ years of crisis response experience.
